Hallmark for Cooper Brothers and Sons Ltd who were based in Sheffield, hence the crown assay mark for Sheffield. The lion passant for sterling silver and the date letter ‘S’ for 1935.
CB&S were a prominent and highly respected manufacturing and cutlery firm, which was in business for over a hundred years. They were particularly famous for their British flatware styles from the traditional to 1930’s Art Deco. This set of teaspoons and pair of sugar tongs, with a ribbed/reeded design to their ends.
