Two pieces of Art Deco Beswick.
The jug designed in 1933 by Mr Symcox. The shape number 173 impressed to the base with a production run of 20 years.
The vase designed in 1934 and again by Mr Symcox. The shape number 154 impressed to the base with a short production run of 6 years.
Mr Symcox worked for Beswick between 1933 and 1942 as a freelance sculptor. His design of these two pieces fully embraced the Art Deco style, with the fabulous hand painted stylised trees in colours of bold purple, yellow, teal and brown.
No chips or cracks to the two pieces.
