Oak plant stand, with a shelf below and raised on three legs. The plant holder itself with two brass bands and the makers ivorine label found to the inside. Made by R.A.Lister of Dursley, England.
The company was founded in 1867 by Sir Robert Ashton Lister (1845-1929). The company was originally set up to produce agricultural equipment and later diversified to producing engines of various types. Although the company was taken over several times, it run until 2014. This sturdy plant stand has been wax and polished and shows some wear commensurate with age.
