An Art Deco 116 piece canteen of cutlery by Mappin and Webb.Excellent quality, marked ‘Mappin and Webb Sheffield’ and ‘Mappin Plate’.The solid wood box with a raised lid and bottom drawer, both with working locks and keys. Internally lined in baise. Mappin and Webb was founded almost 250 years ago in 1775 by Jonathan Mappin in Sheffield. Striving for excellence the company expanded internationally in a short space of time, receiving Royal Warrants from Monarchs around the world.
