An elegant French Art Deco Pendant Light by Degue. This pink flower shaped light, has a very attractive foliage and three flying birds design in the centre of the glass shade. It retains its four brass hanging rods and centre brass fixing, which has excellent French Art Deco detailing. David Gueron set up the Degue glassworks in 1926 following the success of the 1925 Expositions des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. His company called Verrerie D’AA Degue produced luxury Art Deco glass and often emulated the esteemed glassworks of Muller Freres. Degue operated for only a short period, closing in 1939 at the outbreak of World War II. The glass shade clearly marked ‘Degue France 105’. The glass shade has a chip to the top as photographed.
