A fine Art Deco pedestal desk in walnut, with marquetry banding in various fruitwoods and raised on a macassar ebony base with curved block feet. Five drawers to each side and a central drawer, each with ivory handles. The high quality furniture makers label, ‘Gaylayde’ to the top right hand drawer.
