A fine and large Art Deco sculpture by Jean De Roncourt, who is regarded as the premier sculptor of the male form during the Art Deco period. This work catalogued in the dossier of the Silvin foundry in Paris and titled, ‘Alerte n°2’. The sculpture depicts a male in a look out position with a spear hold out in his left hand. In spelter and mounted on a striking rich veined marble in browns and creams. Signed to the right hand side of the marble base, ‘J de Roncourt’.

In very condition with no chips to the marble base.
