The clock with a square, silvered face and attractive Art Deco numerals in black, with a good 8 day winding movement by Bayard, in working order.
The lady and bird by Odyv.
Odyv are the combined letters from the names of Odette Mussiett and Yvonne Berlot who worked at the Vierzon factory, France, between 1927 and 1940. A good example here, in ceramic, with a smooth white reclining lady and bird, with the base and clock made to look like marble.
Odette’s and Yvonne’s ceramic work often emulated materials such as marble or stone and was inspired by Greek and Egyptian influences.
Odyv pieces are found in museums and collections around the world. Their designs were meant to enhance their surrounding and impress in their own right.
