An oak 1930’s table by the British designer, Betty Joel. Made from solid oak, with rippled edges to the table top. Very well made with an unusual construction and signed label to the underside. The label showing the piece made by ‘Token’ at Portsmouth, signed by Betty Joel and its maker. Dated 19th July 1934.

Betty Joel (pictured) designed furniture, textiles and interiors, and had shops in Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. The Studio Magazine featured her work between 1927 and 1937. Today the quality and design of her pieces are highly regarded.
