A quality solid walnut bureau. The top opens to reveal pigeon holes of various sizes and a drawer. The slides automatically come forward to support the top when open.

Attractive handles and inlay panels to the bureau and chair, made of ebony, mother of pearl and various exotic woods.  Marquetry banding to both the bureau.   Gayelayde furniture by B.Cohen & Sons was first exhibited in 1926 at the London Furniture Exhibition and their bedroom, dining and living room furniture was sold in upmarket department stores in the UK.
