An early piece of furniture by Betty Joel from her Token workshop. The Betty Joel signed label beneath and dated 1928. This nearly 100 year old square coffee table made from solid Australian oak.

Betty Joel (pictured) designed furniture, textiles and interiors, and had shops in Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. The Studio Magazine featured her work between 1927 and 1937. Today the quality and design of her pieces are highly regarded.
